Connect FoodCalculator to AI

An AI assistant will see your account's dishes and products, suggest what to cook, and create dishes and calculations in the app itself — you'll just need to fill in the weights.

How it works

Connector address https://foodcalculator.site/mcp

Paste this address into your AI assistant's connector settings. Next comes sign-in by email and code, same as in the app, and an "Allow" button.

If your assistant asks for a key

Some assistants don't show a sign-in window and ask for a key or a token instead. Create an access key in the FoodCalculator app on the "Connect to AI" tab and paste it where the assistant asks for a key.

Manual setup

If your assistant is set up through a config file rather than a settings screen, the key goes in a header:

Authorization: Bearer <your key>

What's not supported yet

Not every AI has MCP support. DeepSeek, Qwen, GigaChat and Alice don't have custom connectors yet. Client settings change over time — if the steps above are outdated, look for the current path in your AI's connector settings.

Security

Connecting gives the AI access to food data only: dishes, products, cookware and calculations. Your profile and account stay off-limits. You can revoke the connection in the app at any time.
